Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - OB/GYN
Location: Sanford, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit: Labor & Delivery – OB/GYN
Shift: Nights
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: As needed/on request
Facility & Unit Overview
- 137-bed acute care hospital, Joint Commission Accredited Primary Stroke Center
- Services include cardiology, ortho, ophthalmology, general surgery, OBGYN, emergency department, gastroenterology, hospitalist services, nephrology, hematology, urology, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, and wound care
- Level 2 Nursery
- Labor & Delivery unit has 17 L&D rooms and 5 OB rooms (all one unit)
- Patient population: Labor & Delivery
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience in Women’s Services
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Job Responsibilities & Expectations
- Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery and OB units
- Float to other units as needed
- Maintain professional demeanor and adhere to dress code (scrubs allowed; no casual wear)
- Patient ratios and specific workload details managed by unit leadership
Additional Information
- Orientation sessions held weekly on Mondays
- Location offers easy access to Raleigh, Durham, Research Triangle, and recreational areas such as Pinehurst Golf Course and the NC coast
- Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a travel assignment
