Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location

Sierra Vista, Arizona
Acute Care Unit with 34 beds
Patient population: geriatric, adults, occasional pediatrics (travelers not assigned pediatrics)
Patient ratio: 6:1
Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors
Electronic Health Record system: Cerner

Position Details

Employment type: Travel contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7a-7p / 7p-7a)
Weekend work: Occasional weekends required, same shift hours
Call requirements: Only when down staffed or placed on call
Float requirements: May be asked to care for inpatient holds
Dress code: Scrubs of any color, closed-toed shoes required

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
One year or more of total travel nursing experience
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS certification
BLS certification
