Pharmacist Travel Job in Tennessee
Position Overview
- Job Title: Pharmacist
- Employment Type: Travel
- Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 7 days on / 7 days off, 9 PM – 7 AM
- Weekly Hours: Approximately 35 hours per week (70 hours per 2-week pay period)
- Weekend Hours: 20 hours every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Patient Population: Primarily adult and geriatric patients; minimal pediatric patients from Emergency Department
- Facility Size: 167-bed, Level III Trauma Center
- EHR System: Meditech Magic
- Pharmacy Equipment: Omnicell
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacist license in Tennessee
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience with MEDITECH
Skills and Experience
- Must have experience with Meditech and Omnicell systems
- Proficient in sterile compounding and renal dosing
- Ability to work independently and professionally
- Preferred but not required: basic knowledge of Medhost (minimal ED interaction, training available)
Work Environment and Dress Code
- Dress code: Business casual or scrubs; any scrub color allowed
- Unacceptable attire: Casual wear or other facility-branded attire
Additional Information
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
- No float or call requirements
- No direct patient ratios applicable for this role
This position is ideal for a pharmacist with solid acute care experience, comfortable working night shifts independently in a suburban hospital setting.
