Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work in a 3rd floor unit with 8 beds, caring for laboring patients including GYN patients.
- Follow AWHONN patient ratio standards.
- Use Cerner EHR system.
- Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Weekend hours as needed.
- No call requirements.
- Possible float assignments as helping hands.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year.
- Certifications required:
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) units.
Work Environment & Culture
- Facility includes specialized centers such as Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, Surgical Weight Loss, Women’s Center, and Level 3 NICU.
- Unit culture values easy-going, committed, and positive personality traits.
- Scrub color: No designated color except navy scrubs supplied by hospital for C-sections.
