Description

Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Work in a 3rd floor unit with 8 beds, caring for laboring patients including GYN patients.
Follow AWHONN patient ratio standards.
Use Cerner EHR system.
Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
Weekend hours as needed.
No call requirements.
Possible float assignments as helping hands.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year.
Certifications required:
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) units.

Work Environment & Culture

Facility includes specialized centers such as Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, Surgical Weight Loss, Women’s Center, and Level 3 NICU.
Unit culture values easy-going, committed, and positive personality traits.
Scrub color: No designated color except navy scrubs supplied by hospital for C-sections.

Two openings available.
No trauma level specified for this unit.
Patient population includes laboring women and gynecological patients.
No prior travel experience explicitly required.
