Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position
Location: Wilson, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Role: Physical Therapist in a community hospital outpatient clinic
- Shift: Days, Monday through Friday
- Hours per week: Approximately 32 hours
- Weekend Coverage: One acute care weekend every 4-5 weeks with flexible days the week before and after
- Float Requirements: Some coverage in acute care setting with general hospital patient population (respiratory, cardiac, CVA, ortho)
- Patient Population: Primarily adult and older adult patients; occasional older adolescent/teen
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Neurological, orthopedic, general debility, general pain
- Work Environment: Fast-paced, full caseload; outgoing personality preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in neurological and orthopedic physical therapy
- Some acute care experience preferred
Additional Information
- Facility uses Meditech (acute care) and WebPT (outpatient) electronic health records
- Dress Code: Scrub tops required (no t-shirts under scrubs), any scrub color allowed, no earbuds during patient care
- Patient census in acute care averages in the 90s
This position offers a mix of outpatient and acute care responsibilities, requiring flexibility and a broad skill set in physical therapy.
