Description

Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position

Location: Wilson, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Overview

  • Role: Physical Therapist in a community hospital outpatient clinic
  • Shift: Days, Monday through Friday
  • Hours per week: Approximately 32 hours
  • Weekend Coverage: One acute care weekend every 4-5 weeks with flexible days the week before and after
  • Float Requirements: Some coverage in acute care setting with general hospital patient population (respiratory, cardiac, CVA, ortho)
  • Patient Population: Primarily adult and older adult patients; occasional older adolescent/teen
  • Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Neurological, orthopedic, general debility, general pain
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced, full caseload; outgoing personality preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in neurological and orthopedic physical therapy
  • Some acute care experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Facility uses Meditech (acute care) and WebPT (outpatient) electronic health records
  • Dress Code: Scrub tops required (no t-shirts under scrubs), any scrub color allowed, no earbuds during patient care
  • Patient census in acute care averages in the 90s

This position offers a mix of outpatient and acute care responsibilities, requiring flexibility and a broad skill set in physical therapy.
