Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Travel Assignment)
Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 (candidate to specify preference)

Job Summary
- Provide nursing care primarily to adult and geriatric patients in a 17-bed Emergency Department.
- Patient ratio approximately 1:6, with about 40 patient visits per day.
- Call coverage required 24/7 to support daily volume.
- Electronic Health Record system used: MediTech.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
Preferred Experience
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
- Experience in similar-sized emergency departments.
Work Environment & Additional Information
- Facility is a regional health center with 217 licensed beds offering a variety of services including ED, Critical Care, Med/Surg, and more.
- Located in a small river town with low cost of living and recreational trails.
- Weekly orientations available; mid-week starts allowed except Wednesdays.
