Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health
Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 hours guaranteed
Call Requirements: No call
Patient Population: Adult Behavioral Health Unit (ages 18-65)
Unit Details:
- 14 beds, average daily census around 7
- Patient ratio approximately 1:6
- Electronic Health Record system: MediTech
- Patient diagnoses include anxiety, depression, manic disorders, borderline personality disorder, and suicidal ideation
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
- Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
Additional Information
- May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
