Registered Nurse - Rehab (Travel)

Ottumwa, Iowa

Job Type

Travel assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit & Patient Population

Unit: Acute Rehabilitation
Number of beds: 13
Patient population: Adult and Geriatric
Patient ratio: 1 RN to 6 patients
Equipment used: lift equipment
Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Meditech

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 (indicate preference upon submission)
Weekend hours: every other weekend
No call requirements

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
Minimum 1 year of recent rehabilitation nursing experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Acute care nursing experience
MedSurg experience (as needed for floating)

Experience & Skills

Required: 1-2 years acute care experience
Preferred: Travel nursing experience (not required)
Acceptable experience includes MedSurg, LTAC
Float to MedSurg as needed

Common Diagnoses/Treatments

Neurological conditions
Trauma
Burns
Gait training and strengthening
Wound vac management

Additional Notes

Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday
