Registered Nurse (PCU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Clyde, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Unit: Progressive Care (PCU)
• Specialty: Cardiac
• Patient Population: Adult cardiac observation, post cardiac cath lab patients, cardioversions
• Number of Beds: 22
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Equipment: Telemetry
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Paragon
• Shift: PM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Yes

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with at least some experience within the last year
• Experience in Stepdown and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Skills and Experience

• Must have step-down or ICU experience
• Experience with cardiac patient care and common cardiac diagnoses/treatments
• Team-oriented with good communication skills and flexibility

Orientation and Additional Information

• Orientation offered bi-weekly
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Dress Code: No offensive tattoos or non-facility tops allowed

Notes

• This is a travel nursing position; candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel.
• The facility is located near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and within driving distance to several cities including Asheville, Pigeon Forge, and Knoxville.
