Unit & Facility Overview

• Unit: Women’s Services (Antepartum Department)
• Beds: 3 LDR (Labor, Delivery, Recovery), 4 Triage, 2 Antepartum, 10 Postpartum/GYN/Pediatrics
• Patient Population: Maternal, newborn, adult, geriatric, pediatrics
• Patient Ratios: Based on acuity
• Equipment: Philips fetal monitors with OB Trave Vue
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): MediTech
• Weekend Hours: Every 3rd weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Yes

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 3 years of OB/GYN nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in Labor and Delivery, Maternal-Newborn, and Pediatrics nursing
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients and Pediatric patients
• Experience in charge nurse roles
• Current certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • STABLE (post-resuscitation/pre-transport care of sick infants)
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
