Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Travel Position

Location: Sanford, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Facility Type: 8-bed ICU unit
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Hours: As needed, every other weekend
Call Requirements: As needed
Patient Population: All ages
Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 2-3 patients
Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Cerner
Float Requirements: Yes, ratio 1:6
Common Diagnoses: Respiratory failure
Work Environment: High acuity ICU setting

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
Certifications prior to start:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
- CPI or HWC or MAB (de-escalation and safety training)
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Information

Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
Dress Code: Scrubs of any color allowed; casual wear is not acceptable
Location Highlights: Small-town charm with access to nearby metropolitan areas and recreational amenities

Notes for Candidates

Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a travel nurse
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
