Unit and Facility Information

Unit: Medical Surgical Combination (Med Surg A5)
Trauma Level: III
Facility size: 167 beds
Patient population: All ages
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech
Medication dispensing system: Omnicell
Float requirements: Possible float to similar med/surg units
Shift details: 40 hours per week, weekend hours every other weekend/as needed, call as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check before assignment start

Skills and Experience

Experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing
IV insertion skills required
Professional demeanor expected

Orientation

Weekly orientation on Mondays

Dress Code

Scrubs of any color allowed
Casual wear is not acceptable
