Unit & Facility Overview

• Medical/Surgical unit with a max patient load currently at 18, aiming to increase to 24
• Patient ratio: 6:1
• Equipment includes bladder scanner, glucometers, etc.
• Electronic Health Record system: Medhost
• Patient population: Adults and Geriatric (no pediatrics)
• Trauma Level: 3

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 23

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to start
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

• Critical care thinking skills

Common Diagnoses & Treatments

• Pneumonia
• Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA)
• Cerebral Palsy (CP)
• Post-surgical care
• Electrolyte imbalances
• Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)

• Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed; casual wear is not acceptable

Orientation

• Bi-weekly orientation sessions held on Mondays
