Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Travel)

Location: Henderson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work in a 48-bed Medical Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:6
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours as needed
• Call requirements: None
• Rare float requirements, possibly to inpatient rehab or ER for specific tasks
• Electronic Health Record system: Paragon

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Experience

• Experience managing a 1:6 patient ratio with high patient turnover

Unit & Patient Population

• Trauma level unit
• Patient population primarily adult medical-surgical patients
