Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Location: Winchester, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Unit & Facility Overview

• ICU with 10 beds
• Trauma Level III facility
• Patient population primarily adults (18+), with rare pediatric post-op patients
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients
• Equipment includes Baxter pumps, GE bedside monitors, and Arjo beds
• Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
• Common diagnoses treated: COPD exacerbation, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), atrial fibrillation, pre/post heart catheterization, septic shock

Position Details

• Specialty: General Intensive Care
• Number of openings: 1
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: Rotating/as needed
• Call requirements: Census dependent
• Float requirements: Census dependent
• Dress code: Any color scrubs; street clothes or apparel with outside hospital names are not allowed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Skills and experience in:

  • Advanced hemodynamic monitoring
  • Ventilator management
  • Vasoactive drips
  • Cardiac support
