• Marquette, Michigan (Central region of Michigan's Upper Peninsula)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Unit and Patient Population

• Unit: Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics (7th Floor)
• Number of beds: 24
• Patient ratios: 1 nurse to 6 patients
• Patient population: All ages over 28 days, including adults and pediatrics
• Common diagnoses/treatments: Trauma, post-operative ortho/neuro, general pediatric cases (0-3 rooms on average)

Shift and Hours

• Night shift
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend requirement: 3 weekends every 6 weeks
• No call requirements
• Float required to inpatient units

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with adult patients
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Skills and Experience

• Must have 2+ years experience caring for adult patients
• Preferred: 2+ years experience with pediatric patients
• Experience with trauma and post-operative ortho/neuro patients preferred
• Teamwork and collaboration skills emphasized

Technology and Equipment

• Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: currently Paragon, transitioning to Cerner on 3/1/24

Additional Information

• Dress code: Galaxy Blue scrubs; refer to facility dress code policy for unacceptable attire
• Float to other inpatient units as needed
