Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit and Patient Population

Unit: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery (LDRP)
Patient population: Adults and newborns
Unit beds: 15 total (6 L&D, 9 Postpartum)
Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards

Work Schedule

Shift: Varies (see position details)
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Call requirements: None
Float requirements: Yes, may float to other departments based on census and needs

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring

Required Education and Licensure

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid Registered Nurse license in Nevada

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Postpartum experience
Nursery experience

Required Skills and Experience

Spontaneous vaginal delivery (SVD) experience (no VBAC)
Cesarean section care
OB triage
Nonstress test administration
Postpartum and nursery care, including newborn procedures
Management of hemorrhages
Fetal monitoring and interventions
Management of pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, and hypertensive crisis patients

Work Environment and Culture

Facility is an LDRP unit covering Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Triage, Postpartum, and Nursery care
Postpartum couplet care and level 1 nursery
Personality fit: Knowledgeable, flexible, team player, hardworking

Additional Notes

Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
