Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Travel)

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Travel RN position specializing in OB/GYN with a focus on labor and delivery.
• Must start within 7-10 days and begin on one of the specified orientation dates.
• Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours as needed
• No call requirements
• Possible float assignments as helping hands

Unit & Patient Population

• Unit: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
• Floor: 3
• Number of beds: 8
• Patient population includes gynecological patients
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in OB/GYN nursing
• Labor and Delivery experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically in LDRP preferred

• Dress code: No designated scrub color except navy scrubs supplied by hospital for C-sections

• No trauma level specified for this unit
• Patient care includes labor and gynecological patients
• Float assignments may be required occasionally to assist other areas
