Registered Nurse - Surgery (Travel)

Location: Beckley, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Role: RN Circulator in the Operating Room
• Specialty Areas: General Surgery, Gynecology (GYN), Vascular, Orthopedics (Ortho), Urology, Podiatry, da Vinci Robotic Surgery
• Patient Population: All ages
• Trauma Level: Level III
• Number of OR Rooms: 7
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Electronic Health Record System: Meditech

Work Schedule & Hours

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Total Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirements: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend/as needed with potential for coverage/call
• Float Requirements: Interdepartmental as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an OR Circulator, including experience within the last year
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in OB/GYN, Vascular Surgery, Orthopedics, and Urology specialties

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an OR Scrub or Circulator

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs biweekly on Wednesdays
• Dress Code: Scrubs supplied by the facility; casual wear and other facility-branded attire are not acceptable
• Professional demeanor required
• The facility provides a wide range of surgical services including trauma/emergency services and advanced robotic surgery
