Registered Nurse (Neuro Specialty) - Travel Assignment

Location: Somerset, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Week: 36 (weekends every other week)
Call Requirements: None

• Staff of over 1,200 healthcare professionals and more than 170 physicians across 38 specialties

Position Details

• Specialty: Neuro
• Number of Openings: 1
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 (day shift), 5:1 (night shift)
• Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
• Float Requirements: May be required to float within a 25-mile radius
• Weekly orientation on Mondays (for travel candidates located 60 miles or more from facility)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Coronary Care Unit (CCU) experience within the last year
• Experience in an acute care setting
• Neuro ICU experience
• Current certifications prior to start:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Additional Information

• Weekend hours every other week
• No call responsibilities
