Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position

Location: Hancock, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Overview

• 36-bed hospital serving Western Upper Michigan Peninsula
• Level III Trauma Center
• Outpatient Clinic setting within Houghton Rehab department
• Patient population includes children, students, adults, and geriatrics
• Busy outpatient clinic with a large population of collegiate athletes
• Patient load: 9-12 patients per day
• Treatment times: 45-minute treatments, 1¼ hour evaluations
• Equipment: Private treatment rooms, standard gym equipment including cardio and weights
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: WebPT

Requirements & Preferences

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Doctorate preferred
• Licensure: PT License required
• Certifications: BLS required
• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience preferred, especially outpatient clinic experience
  • 2-3 years preferred but new graduates with strong internship placements will be considered
• Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic conditions
  • Experience with orthopedic diagnoses including collegiate athletes, vestibular, neurological, and generalized weakness
  • Patient experience oriented
• Personality Fit: Team-oriented with a strong team atmosphere within therapy staff

• No float requirements
• No weekend or call requirements
