Travel RN Opportunity - PACU / Preop

Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Facility Type: 47-bed acute care hospital


Position Details

  • Specialty: PACU / Preop Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Days with some call on nights and weekends
  • Weekly Hours: Approximately 40 hours
  • Call Requirements: Once notified of a case, must be onsite within 30 minutes
  • Number of Openings: 1

Unit Information

  • Floor: 3rd
  • Number of Beds: 3
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
  • Patient Population: Primarily adult; ENT cases once a month
  • Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Appendectomy, Gallbladder procedures
  • EHR Systems: CQI, Medhost

Requirements

  • Licensure: Registered Nurse License
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required (higher years of experience defaulted)
  • Preferred Experience: Both Preop and PACU experience preferred
  • Float Requirements: Shared position with Preop only; no other float expectations
  • Dress Code: No open-toed shoes or fake fingernails

Additional Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
  • Call coverage includes some weekend hours
  • Must be able to respond quickly to cases when called in
