Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Position
Location: Lynnwood, Washington

Qualifications
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Washington (note: job title suggests SLP, but licensure requirement states Occupational Therapist)
- Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred but not required
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Essential Functions
- Responsible for care of patients treated by Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and students
- May orient staff and students; assume supervisor duties in their absence if qualified
- Assess patients’ needs and initiate appropriate occupational therapy interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to maintain professional standards
- Observe and evaluate treatment effectiveness and goal achievement; recommend changes to physicians as needed
- Perform assessments and reassessments per policy; complete timely quality improvement scoring
- Treat adult and geriatric patients in a medical rehabilitation program
- Assess and intervene for patient pain affecting rehabilitation participation; communicate with physicians as needed
- Ensure patient safety and reduce healthcare errors during care
- Report patient progress and discharge barriers in team conferences
- Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans; document appropriately
- Demonstrate proficiency in occupational therapy modalities
- Respect and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs of patients and families
- Safely operate and maintain equipment and department cleanliness
- Communicate professionally with patients, families, physicians, staff, and administration
- Participate in patient/family and team conferences
- Maintain flexibility, organization, and composure under stress
- Foster good working relationships within and across departments
- Collaborate with other departments for patient care and performance improvement
- Meet documentation standards; update interdisciplinary care plans regularly
- Participate in staff education, orientation, and performance improvement activities
- Ensure accurate and timely patient charge entry
- Participate in infection control, equipment training, and safety programs
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Take accountability and ownership of duties, ensuring tasks are completed reliably and timely
