Travel RN Opportunity – Med Surg Unit

Location: Kennewick, Washington

Position Details

• Unit: Med Surg, 2 North Floor
• Trauma Level: 3
• Number of Beds: 16 private rooms
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 standard, 1:3 for higher acuity
• Patient Population: Geriatric and Adult
• EHR System: Paragon (McKesson)

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) or equivalent rhythm interpretation training
• Licensure: Registered Nurse License (RN)

Required Skills & Experience

• EKG/Cardiac Monitoring
• Respiratory assessment and support
• Medication titration

Common Diagnoses/Treatments on Unit

• Alcohol detox (ETOH detox)
• Post Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
• Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) / Hyperosmolar Hyperglycemic State (HHS)
• Cardiac conditions
• Gastrointestinal (GI) issues
• BIPAP management

Additional Information

• Float requirements apply
• No designated scrub color; standard professional attire expected
• Located in the Tri-Cities area, southeastern Washington, with access to recreational activities and local amenities
• Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel

This position offers a dynamic med surg experience in a teaching hospital setting with a focus on cardiac and acute care patient populations.
