Travel RN Opportunity – Med/Surg Telemetry

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (M/S Tele)
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Shifts: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Call Requirements: None scheduled; possible shift flex to on-call twice during contract
• Float Requirements: Expected to float to other units including IMC and ED
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Number of Beds on Unit: 40
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients

Patient Types

• Total joint replacement patients
• Surgical patients
• Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)
• Acute on chronic medical conditions such as CHF, CKD
• Alcohol withdrawal
• Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS)
• Gastrointestinal Bleeding (GIB)

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS and NIH certifications preferred
• Experience with telemetry and managing a 6-patient ratio
• Ability to float to other units (IMC, ED)

Preferred Experience

• Preceptor and charge nurse experience a plus
• Compassionate, positive, can-do attitude
