Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Unit: One Day Surgery (Post-op for surgery and cath lab)
• Shift: 1st shift (post-op only)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: None
• Call Requirements: None
• Patient Population: All (varied ages)
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
• Number of Beds: 20
• EHR System: Meditech
• Float Requirements: Possible

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Registered Nurse License (Iowa)
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty (post-op and cath lab nursing)
• Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required

Onboarding Requirements

• Must have Iowa SING background check cleared (criminal and child abuse portions)
• All background checks (counties and states) must be fully cleared prior to start (no instant or statewide searches accepted)
• Drug test: 10 panel screening including opiates
• Titers must be current within the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)

Additional Information

• Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed; hoodies are not acceptable
• Facility offers a wide range of services including emergency medicine, critical care, medical/surgical, acute rehabilitation, obstetrics, pediatrics, and various specialty services
• Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
