Travel RN Opportunity - PACU / Preop

Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel


Facility Overview

  • 47-bed acute care facility
  • Major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico
  • Approximately 300 healthcare employees

Position Details

  • Specialty: PACU / Preop
  • Number of Openings: 1
  • Shift: Days with some call on nights and weekends
  • Weekly Hours: Approximately 40 hours
  • Call Requirements: On call coverage; must be able to arrive within 30 minutes of notification
  • Float Requirements: Shared position with Preop only; no other float expectations
  • Patient Population: Primarily adult; ENT cases once a month
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
  • Unit Beds: 3

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Registered Nurse License
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of PACU experience (prior PACU experience required)
  • Preferred Experience: Both Preop and PACU experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Appendectomy, Gallbladder procedures
  • EHR Systems: CQI, Medhost
  • Dress Code: No open-toed shoes or fake fingernails allowed

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

This role is ideal for an RN with solid PACU experience looking for a travel assignment in a supportive, acute care environment with adult patient focus.
