Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Registered Nurse license valid in New Mexico
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years in Medical/Surgical Telemetry
• Experience: Must have Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Additional Requirements

• Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a traveler
• Must complete New Mexico state fingerprinting and background check prior to hire (14-day waiver with supervision possible while waiting for results)
• Professional dress code (scrubs of any color; no casual wear)

Summary

This is a travel RN position in Medical/Surgical Telemetry at a Level IV trauma center in Las Cruces, NM. The role requires at least 2 years of specialty experience, current RN licensure in New Mexico, and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale. The contract is approximately 13 weeks with a 36-hour workweek, weekend and call requirements on an as-needed basis, and potential float to other MS units. Prior travel experience is not required.
