Travel RN Opportunity - Med/Surg Unit

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona

Job Details

• Specialty: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekend Hours: Must occasionally work weekends (7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM)
• Call Requirements: Only when down staffed or placed on call
• Unit Type: Acute Care
• Number of Beds: 34
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Patient Population: Geriatric, adults, occasional pediatrics (peds not assigned to traveler)
• Type of Patients on Unit: Telemetry, surgical, general medical
• Equipment Used: Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner

Requirements

• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
• Licensure: Registered Nurse License (RN)
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Med/Surg)
• Prior Travel Experience: Required for travel assignments longer than one year
• Preferred Experience: Telemetry experience preferred
• Personality Fit: Flexible and willing to help
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color, closed-toed shoes only

Additional Information

• Possible float to care for inpatient holds
• Must submit full candidate packet including resume, self-assessment, and skills checklist

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
