Travel RN Opportunity - Emergency Department

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Specialty: Emergency Services (RN)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Shift: Days/Mid (11 AM - 11 PM)
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: Rotate every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: May vary depending on census
  • Number of Openings: 1

  • Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
  • Patient Population: Birth to death (all ages)
  • Trauma Level: Not designated, but receives all traumas
  • Equipment: Critical care equipment

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Emergency Services)
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS
    • PALS or ENPC
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
    • BLS
    • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department
  • Familiarity with stroke, STEMI, and trauma cases
  • Strong critical care thinking and stamina
  • Excellent patient and family communication skills

Additional Information

  • Float requirements: Assist in other areas where competent
  • Personality fit: Energetic and knowledgeable
  • Dress code: Scrubs of any color; hoodies and inappropriate t-shirts are not allowed
