• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Rotate every other weekend
• Call Requirements: Push back hours depending on census
• Number of Openings: 1

Facility & Unit Information

• Unit: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 32
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
• Patient Population: Birth to death (all ages)
• Trauma Level: Not officially designated, but receives all traumas
• Equipment: Critical care equipment
• EHR System: Cerner (required)

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Services (highest requirement)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • PALS or ENPC
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • BLS
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Experience with stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients
• Strong critical care thinking skills
• Good patient and family communication skills
• Energetic and knowledgeable personality
• Ability to float to other areas where competent

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
• Dress code allows any scrub color; hoodies and inappropriate t-shirts are not acceptable
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly
