Travel RN Opportunity - Emergency Department
Location: Hickory, North Carolina

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel
- Shift: Nights
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Rotate every other weekend
- Call Requirements: Push back hours depending on census
- Number of Openings: 1

- Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
- Patient Population: Birth to death (all ages)
- Trauma Level: Not officially designated, but receives all traumas
- Equipment: Critical care equipment
- EHR System: Cerner (required)
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Services (highest requirement)
- Certifications:
- ACLS
- PALS or ENPC
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- BLS
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department
- Experience with stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients
- Strong critical care thinking skills
- Good patient and family communication skills
- Energetic and knowledgeable personality
- Ability to float to other areas where competent
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
- Dress code allows any scrub color; hoodies and inappropriate t-shirts are not acceptable
- Orientation occurs bi-weekly
This role is ideal for an experienced Emergency Department RN looking for a fast-paced travel assignment with a diverse patient population and critical care exposure.
