Travel RN Opportunity - Operating Room

Location: Wilson, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Role: Circulating RN
• Specialty Areas: Orthopedic, General Surgery, Laparoscopy, Urology, GYN, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, DaVinci, ENT, Pediatric Dentistry
• Number of Openings: 2
• Shift: 8 or 10 hours, Monday to Friday plus call
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Call Requirements: 1 day per week and every 3rd weekend (on call)
• Patient Population: All except children under 1 year
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment: Standard OR equipment plus DaVinci Xi Robot
• EHR System: Meditech (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Licensure: Must have an RN license valid for practice in North Carolina
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Operating Room, Circulating RN)
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
• Skills:

  • Must have circulating and operating room experience
  • Preferred: Experience scrubbing in on surgical cases
• Personality Fit: Pleasant, positive, hard working

Work Environment

• Facility: 6 Operating Rooms
• Dress Code: Blue scrubs provided; no provocative, offensive, or political attire allowed

Additional Information

• Orientation is bi-weekly
• Common procedures include abdominal, GYN, laparoscopic surgeries, fractures, total joints, bladder, prostate, cataracts, etc.
• No float requirements
• Weekend hours are on call only
