Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with 5+ years of experience in Emergency Department (ED) nursing.
Facility Overview
- 250-bed Academic Community Hospital
- Region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
- Accredited by American College of Cardiology and American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer
- Services include comprehensive surgical, 24-hour ED, home health & hospice, advanced wound healing, cardiac rehab, cath labs, one-day surgery, medical and radiation oncology
Requirements
- Certifications (must have prior to start):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
- NIH Certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License (valid in Virginia)
- Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a traveler
- Consent to random drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required
Additional Information
- Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Tuesdays
- Location highlights: Small town charm with city amenities, scenic river district with parks, trails, historical sites, boutiques, and art galleries
