Location: Danville, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with 5+ years of experience in Emergency Department (ED) nursing. This position is for a travel nurse role at a 250-bed academic community hospital with comprehensive surgical services and a 24-hour emergency department.

  • Region's only designated Chest Pain Center
  • Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
  • Accredited by American College of Cardiology and American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer
  • Services include home health & hospice, advanced wound healing, cardiac rehab, cath labs, one-day surgery, medical and radiation oncology

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in Emergency Department nursing
  • Certifications (required prior to start):
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
    • NIH Certification
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Licenses: Registered Nurse License (valid in Virginia)
  • Must consent to random drug screening and complete a criminal questionnaire/consent form
  • Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel nurses

Orientation

  • Bi-weekly on Tuesdays
