Position Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with 5+ years of experience in the Emergency Department (ED) to join a 31-bed Emergency Room with 2 triage rooms. The unit includes behavioral health and acute patients. The role involves providing care for all age groups in a busy academic community hospital setting.

Work Details

• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: Rotating weekends / as needed
• Call Requirements: None
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:4 to 1:6, with exceptions during high volume or special circumstances
• Float Requirements: As needed
• Electronic Health Records (EHR): Primarily MedHost (ED), Meditech for admit holds and behavioral health patients

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Handle with Care / Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department nursing experience (highest requirement if discrepancies exist)
• Prior travel experience not explicitly required

• Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Tuesdays
