Job Opportunity: RN - Behavioral Health

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Specialty: Behavioral Health
Facility Type: Hospital with multiple specialized centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, Surgical Weight Loss, Women’s Center, and Level 3 NICU
Unit: Behavioral Health with 5 units ranging from 10 to 23 beds each
Patient Population: Adult
Patient Ratios:
- 23 patients: 2 RNs and 4 CNAs
- 20 patients: 2 RNs and 2 CNAs
- 15 patients: 1 RN and 2 CNAs
- 13 patients: 1 RN and 2 CNAs
- 10 patients: 1 RN and 2 CNAs
Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Cerner
Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification (Handle with Care certification preferred but training available)
Minimum 2 years of experience in Behavioral Health nursing

Clinical Focus / Common Diagnoses

Schizophrenia
Dementia
Manic Bipolar Disorder
Psychosis
Dual Diagnosis
Medical Detox
Depression and Anxiety Disorders

Additional Information

Dress Code: Any color scrub acceptable
No float requirements specified
No weekend or call requirements
