Facility & Unit Overview

Located in southeastern Washington, serving the Tri-Cities area (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland)
Teaching hospital with 111 beds
Labor & Delivery Unit:
- 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, 3 triage beds
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Volume: Approximately 110 deliveries per month
Electronic Health Records (EHR): Centricity and Paragon

Position Details

Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Obstetrics (OB) - Labor & Delivery
Shift: Nights
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: 48 per month
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Yes, to Mother/Baby unit
Number of Openings: 1

Required Qualifications

Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience (higher value taken)
Certifications:
- Fetal Monitoring
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Licenses: Current Registered Nurse License for Washington State
Skills/Experience:
- Must have experience with OR circulation, mother/baby care, and triage (preferred but not required)
Personality Fit: Flexibility and good communication skills

Additional Information

Patient Population: Adults
Dress Code: Scrubs in blue and blue/green colors
No call requirements
Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel

Orientation

New Employee Orientation (NEO) dates available throughout the year

This is a travel RN position in Labor & Delivery requiring at least 2 years of recent acute care experience, relevant certifications, and flexibility to float to mother/baby units. The role is night shift with no call and weekend hours averaging 48 per month. The facility is a teaching hospital with a high delivery volume and follows AWHONN patient ratio guidelines.
