Position Overview

• Specialty: Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN)
• Facility: 26-bed Emergency Department
• Shift: Varies
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Patient Population: All ages (geriatric, adult, pediatric)
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 (flexible depending on acuity)
• Equipment: GE Monitors, standard ED equipment
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech (preferred experience)

Requirements

• Licensure: Registered Nurse License (RN)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Personality Fit: Team player, engaged, positive attitude

Additional Information

• Float assignments are similar to the primary assignment
• Common diagnoses and treatments encountered include: Respiratory Distress, Overdose, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Dialysis, Hypertension (HTN)
• Scrub color is flexible; no unacceptable attire specified beyond standard scrubs
