Position Overview

• Role: RN in Behavioral Health unit specializing in dementia patients with behavioral disturbances
• Patient Population: Geriatric (50+)
• Unit: Behavioral Health Geriatric
• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratio: 1:7
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 24
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: None
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Medhost

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1+ years in specialty (Dementia with Behavioral Disturbances)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
• Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse License to practice in Tennessee
• Must have experience working with dementia patients
• Must meet Tennessee Abuse Registry clearance prior to assignment start

Work Environment & Culture

• Calm personality fit, able to get along well with others
• Dress Code: Solid color scrubs; facial piercings are not acceptable

Additional Notes

• Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Mondays
• Travel assignment requires candidates to be located 60 miles or more from the facility
• No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position
