Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

355-bed acute hospital with multiple specialty centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, Surgical Weight Loss, Women’s Center, and Level 3 NICU
Includes a 32-bed Emergency Department, 29-bed inpatient rehab, 15-bed surgical suite & imaging
Behavioral Health Hospital with 81 adult beds on a separate campus

Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
Document patient care accurately
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families
Assist patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
Collaborate across disciplines for patient care coordination including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support
Evaluate and provide patient/family education tailored to age, culture, and condition
Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients

Current RN license in North Carolina
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 6 months of hire
Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) certification preferred
Minimum 2+ years of experience in nursing specialty (RN)
Prior travel experience not required

Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
Orientation occurs bi-weekly
