Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position

Location: Springfield, Missouri
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

• Provide inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions.
• Work in a facility accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
• Facility features include:

  • Brain-injury unit with monitored rooms, specialized beds, patient lifts, dedicated therapy space and dining area
  • Dedicated stroke care unit with specialized equipment
  • Gymnasiums with high-tech therapy devices and treatments
  • Private, family-friendly rooms with sleeper chairs
  • Special apartment for practicing daily living tasks
  • Pet therapy and recreational programs
  • Outdoor healing garden and walking trail

Position Details

• Discipline: Physical Therapist (PT)
• Specialty: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Call Requirements: None
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, pediatrics (13 years and older)
• Patient Ratios: 7 to 1
• Equipment Used: EKSO, InMotion UE Robotic, Body weight support
• Electronic Health Records (EHR): UDS and Epic

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in inpatient rehab or skilled nursing settings
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, work ethic, and responsibility
• No specific certifications required
