Job Details

• Patient Ratios:

  • Active labor: 1:1
  • Couplet care: 3:1
• Equipment: Intermediate fetal monitoring, Philips Tracevue
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech
• Patient Population: Laboring mothers and newborns

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• STABLE certification

Required Licenses

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Iowa

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience in L&D: Minimum 2 years (highest requirement noted)
• Candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered if they have prior travel experience

Onboarding Requirements

• Must have Iowa SING background check clearance (including criminal and child abuse portions) — no exceptions
• All background checks (counties and states) must be fully cleared prior to start — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult required
• Drug test: 10-panel screening including opiates
• Immunization titers within last 12 months for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB
• Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday
