Description

Job Opportunity: RN - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Must be able to float within hospital to other units as needed
Patient Ratios:
- Active labor: 1:1
- Couplet care: 3:1
Equipment: Intermediate fetal monitoring, Philips Tracevue
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech
Patient Population: Laboring mothers and newborns

Required Qualifications

License: Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE certification
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery specialty
Background Checks:
- Must clear Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions)
- All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start (no instant or statewide searches accepted)
Immunizations/Titers: Must have titers within last 12 months for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB
Drug Test: 10-panel screening including opiates
Mandatory Reporter Certification: Child and Adult

Additional Information

Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday
Prior travel experience is considered (will consider 1 year experience with travel experience) but not explicitly required
