Job Opportunity: RN - Endoscopy

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Specialty: Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy
  • Facility Department: Endoscopy
  • Shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
  • Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
  • Call Requirements: Approximately 10 days per month, 30-minute response time
  • Float Requirements: None, but can float to OR
  • Patient Population: Adult
  • Unit Beds: 3 (2 Endoscopy rooms, 1 Bronchoscopy room)
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1
  • Equipment: Olympus
  • EHR System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

  • Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Specialty Experience: Minimum 3 years in Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy (higher value between 2-3 years)
  • Must have experience in the tech position, not just circulating if applying as RN
  • Required Certifications: ACLS and BLS
  • Required License: Registered Nurse License (RN)
  • Education: RN degree or Surgical Technologist certification
  • Pulmonology experience is required

Additional Information

  • Call cases may include GI bleeds, foreign body removals, Bronchs – EBUS, Navigation
  • Orientation occurs twice monthly
  • Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs (scrub machine available)
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
