Job Opportunity: RRT - Respiratory Therapy (Travel)

Location: Paris, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: Respiratory Therapy, Main Hospital
• Patient Ratios: Vary depending on census
• Staffing: Includes unit secretaries, EKG techs on weekdays, and team lead
• Equipment: Servo I ventilators, Carescape ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, standard nebulizers
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; every other weekend required
• Floating Policy: None
• Dress Code: Ceil Blue uniform

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Job Responsibilities & Skills

• Provide ICU-level respiratory care including ventilator management
• Perform blood gas analysis and arterial line draws
• Conduct EKGs and basic respiratory care procedures
• Manage tracheostomy patients and weaning trials
• Oxygen therapy knowledge required

• Orientation held weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
