Registered Nurse - Rehab

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for adult patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. Work within a multidisciplinary team focused on improving patients' functional ability and quality of life through comprehensive treatment addressing physical, emotional, and psychological needs.

Work Environment

• Unit includes 81 private rooms
• Patient population: Adults (18+ years)
• Patient ratios: Approximately 1:6-7 during the day, 1:8 at night
• Each nurse is supported by a dedicated technician
• Float within 5 units: Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury
• Electronic Health Record system: Epic
• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Scrub color: Black (ID badge provided by agency required)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS (CPR) Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential

Additional Information

• Patient care includes working with specialized equipment and therapy devices
• Emphasis on teamwork with physicians, specialists, therapists, and family members
• Masking required November 1 through March 31 during flu season unless exempted
• Reporting time: 6:30 PM; report to Charge Nurse upon arrival
