Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Job Details
- Acute care facility with 47 beds and approximately 300 healthcare employees
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
- Travel assignments start with a 14-day waiver period while fingerprint background check results are pending; during this time, supervision is required
- All clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the check is in process (required by New Mexico state regulations)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department (ED) nursing, including experience within the last year
- Certifications required at submission (certifications are not available onsite):
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Additional Notes
- The client may require additional certifications beyond those listed
- Compliance with New Mexico Department of Health fingerprinting and background check procedures is mandatory
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
