Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Med/Surg specialty for a travel assignment in a medical/surgical unit. The unit currently manages up to 18 patients with plans to increase to 24. Patient population includes adults and geriatrics (no pediatrics). The role involves caring for patients with diagnoses such as pneumonia, CVA, cerebral palsy, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, and DVT.

• Unit Type: Medical/Surgical
• Trauma Level: 3
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Number of Beds: Up to 24 (currently 18)
• Equipment: Bladder scanner, glucometers, etc.
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost
• Shift: See shift details
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 23
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: None

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification required prior to start
• Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry before assignment start

Additional Notes

• Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
