Location: Athens, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit and Facility Overview
- Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Trauma Level: 3
- Number of Beds: 5 currently, expanding to 10 beds soon
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatric (No pediatrics)
- Patient Ratios: 2-3 patients per nurse
- Equipment Used: Ventilators, BiPAPs, drips, glucometers, etc.
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Medhost
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: None

- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: 23
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: DKA, CVA, CP, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, psychiatric (suicidal ideation), etc.

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Additional Information
- Orientation: Bi-weekly on Mondays
- Dress Code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear is not acceptable
Notes
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
- Client may require additional certifications beyond those listed.
