Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours (4x12 hour shifts)
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Unit Beds: 24
Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, and some pediatric patients
Type of Patients: Mixed medical, older population with varying acuity

Job Description

• Work in a Joint Commission Accredited community hospital and regional referral center with Level 3 Trauma designation and Certified Chest Pain Center.
• May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility.
• Use equipment such as Ultrasound, Bellmont Transfuser, Baxter IV Pumps, Glidescope, BD IV Products, and GE monitors in every room.
• Electronic Health Record system: MedHost EDIS.
• Team-oriented environment; candidates should be approachable, take initiative, ask for help when needed, and use idle time productively.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Skills and Experience:

  • Emergency Department trauma care
  • STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) management

• Orientation provided weekly.
• Schedule guarantees 48 hours per week.
